Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued forecasts indicating rainfall across several provinces in country today.

Presently, Nepal is experiencing light rain in various areas of Gandaki, Koshi, and Bagmati provinces. This weather pattern is attributed to the influence of local winds, westerly winds, and a low-pressure system originating from Bihar, India.

The forecast suggests partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly regions, with the rest of the country experiencing partly cloudy skies throughout the day. Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is anticipated in select areas of the hilly and Tarai regions. Additionally, there is a possibility of light snowfall in higher elevations.

Tonight, the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces are expected to witness partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the remainder of the country may experience partly cloudy skies. Residents in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces should be prepared for light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in certain areas.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division advises residents to stay informed about the evolving weather conditions and take necessary precautions.
